Biharilal Deora, FCA, CFA, CIPM is an accomplished finance professional with a global market perspective. Prior to joining Abakkus, he was managing corporate, family office and university clients, bringing an investment expertise that spans all asset classes. He is also a subject matter expert across a range of tax, accounting, pension, risk management, and capital market policies. Mr. Deora is a regular visiting faculty member for advanced finance programs and is currently pursuing a PhD with Symbiosis University. He began his career as a financial analyst – at Credit Suisse and Fidelity Investments amongst others – where he gained knowledge across a range of sectors, including oil and gas and commodities in the US, Europe and Asia and holds a masters in Commerce degree from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, amongst being a Rankholder chartered accountant, Certified Financial planner, CFA Charterholders and and other certificates.

Aman is with Abakkus since its inception and leads the investment team. He has 20+ years of Indian equity experience of which for 13 years he has worked with Sunil Singhania at Reliance AMC under various roles. Previously he was Portfolio manager for all local and offshore schemes for PMS division of Reliance Mutual Fund (now called Nippon India Mutual Fund). During 2006-2013 he was based at Singapore office of Reliance which helped him gain regional and global perspective for investing in India. He has strong track record across – long only, absolute and long-short strategies across market cycles. Before joining Reliance in 2004 he was part of the research team at TAIB Securities, Tata TD Waterhouse and other brokerage firms. Aman holds an MBA degree in Finance from Mumbai University.

Rajesh Patil is responsible for managing Operations, Servicing, and Onboarding activities at Abakkus. Prior to joining Abakkus, Rajesh has served as Head of Operations at ASK Investment Managers. Prior to ASK, he was managing core operations of Motilal Oswal AMC where he was adjudged as the Best Associate in its Silver Jubilee year. Rajesh has 18 years of rich experience in Portfolio Management Operations and holds Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and a Diploma in Business Management from Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research.

Rahul Veera is an Investment analyst with over 12 years of equity research experience. Rahul has spent the majority of his early career in investment selection of small cap and midcap companies with strong focus on bottom-up research. He believes that patience, independent thinking, and a long-term outlook are essential to achieving good returns. Before joining Abakkus asset management, Rahul served as an equity research analyst for organizations like Morgan Stanley, Edelweiss and Elara capital. Rahul attended IIM Calcutta with concentrations in Finance.

Chetan Vora has over 10 years of experience in Indian Equity Research and total of 15 years of professional experience. Prior to joining Abakkus, he was working as a senior research analyst with ValueQuest Investment Advisors (Research arm for the PMS and Family Office) for closed to 5 years wherein he covered comprehensively mid-cap and small cap companies. He was also associated Edelweiss Securities (Institutional Research) wherein he used to track Auto and Auto Ancillary sector. During the earlier years of his career he has also worked with Price Waterhouse in the Financial Services Assurance Vertical. With his analytical abilities, process driven approach he brings fresh perspective and insights to the research work. Chetan is Chartered Accountant by profession and completed his graduation from University of Mumbai.

Nirav has joined Abakkus as Senior Research Analyst. Nirav has 10+ years of experience in equity markets. Prior to joining Abakkus, he has worked as a mid-cap analyst with HDFC Securities, JM Financial and ICICI Securities. Nirav has completed his graduation in commerce and holds a degree in PGDBM Finance.

Nikhil has over 10 years of equity research experience tracking companies across multiple sectors like Building Materials, Light Electricals, Consumer Durables, Chemicals and Branded Apparels/Retail in the mid & small cap universe. Prior to joining Abakkus, he was working as a Senior Research Analyst with Asian Markets Securities (AMSEC) for around 3 years. He has also worked with CLSA India Pvt Ltd., Morgan Stanley & ZyFin Research Pvt Ltd.

Foram Bauva has more than three years of experience in the field of equity investments. She is responsible for all aspects of the research process and financial modelling with focus on companies in the small and mid cap space. Prior to joining Abakkus, she has worked at K.N Gandhi as an Audit Associate and has an experience of four years in the construction sector having handled clients like Raheja, Lokhandwala, Gundecha and various others. Foram is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has graduated from NM College. With continuous dedication, passion and focus she would like to specialise in the field of investment management.

Mudita is a qualified CA, CS & a level 2 CFA candidate. Prior to joining Abakkus, she has completed her articleship with Grant Thornton & post qualification has worked with Tata Capital Financial Services Ltd as an Internal Auditor & her last stint was with RBL Bank as an Operational Risk Manager.

Pathik is a commerce graduate and PGDM (Finance) from Flame School of Business. Prior to Abakkus, he was trained at Yes Securities (India) Limited for Institutional Equity Research (cement sector) He is a candidate for level 1 CFA Examination conducted by CFA Institute, USA.

Akshay comes with more than a decade of rich experience in the industry. In his current role at Abakkus Asset Manager, he is accountable for Fund Management – Equity Dealer. Having experienced different sides of the industry, Akshay comes with a thorough understanding of System Trading, Execution of Equity Block & Bulk Deals, Risk Management Methodologies, and Trade Settlement with Economic & Financial models. Prior to Abakkus Akshay’s experience at Elara Capital and First Global Securities enabled him to gain a clear understanding of vital market prospects. He started his career at a Indiabulls Securities as Associate Manager and now is on his way to Apex status. Akshay is an MBA in Finance and is pursuing his CFA level 2 degree. He is a graduate in Commerce faculty from University of Mumbai. He is an avid runner and regularly participates in Marathons.

Hiren has around 13 years of experience in including Equity Dealing & Trading. At Abakkus, he is responsible for Associate Dealing and Operations. His Prior stints have been with companies such Anandrathi Wealth Management,Raj Oracle Service LLP And Marwadi Shares & Finance Ltd. Hiren Has his Bachelors in Commerce from University of Mumbai.

Prior joining to Abakkus, Naresh was working with ASK Investment Managers as a business developer and in the past has been responsible for sales and distribution at some of the leading corporate’s such as ICICI Securities, JM Financial Ltd, ING Investment ltd, Zonal sales (VP) and ICICI Prudential Mutual fund. Naresh’s educational qualification includes MBA and BBM.Having bagged 15 years of experience in channel sales, B2B, and relationship management.

An astute professional with varied work experience in Asset management companies of around 7 years . Prior to joining Abakkus , have worked with HDFC Mutual Fund and Nippon Life India Asset Management in Sales and Distribution. Manish holds a master’s degree focussed on Marketing and Finance from Lal Bahadur Shastri Inst. of management and Graduated from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce – Delhi university.
